Payments in the context of the work
Garang Mayom Malek leads CapitalPay International’s work in payment technology for institutions and trade. The focus is the record around the transaction: identifying the charge, connecting it to a service and making its outcome understandable to the organisations involved.
In Tanzania, the company’s programmes concern clearing-agent administration, cooperative payments and border-related financial records. Each brings a different institution and a different operating process to the same practical question: how can the payment be followed from instruction to outcome?
The Tanzania focus
For a clearing agent, the useful record connects the service and the professional fee. For a cooperative, it begins with accurate beneficiary information. For an institution, it includes the reference, payment response and receiving account.
These programmes call for collaboration with the organisations responsible for each service. The project pages set out those relationships and the work being developed for Tanzania.
Earlier career
Garang previously co-owned Crawford Capital and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He divested his holding and left the company in 2022. He has no current ownership, management or executive role in Crawford Capital.
CapitalPay International and Capital Pay Software Solutions are separate businesses incorporated outside South Sudan. They hold no South Sudan revenue-agency contracts. The current companies did not receive Crawford’s assets, software, contracts, employees or customers through a transfer.
